Bahrain calls for joint GCC plans and strategies to boost healthcare

His Excellency Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), has stressed the important role played by the Gulf Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (Gulf CDC) in coordinating with the health sectors in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to implement joint plans and strategies that keep pace with developments related to the spread of chronic diseases and strengthening ways to prevent it.
This came during a meeting with HE Dr. Jaleela bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, Dr. Pasi Penttinen, the Executive Director of Gulf CDC, and Waleed Al Nadabi, the Planning and Project Manager at the Gulf CDC. The meeting reviewed topics of common interests.
