Sara Ahmed Buhiji appointed Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority CEO

The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, yesterday issued Decree (5) of 2024, appointing a Chief Executive Officer and a Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), based on a proposal of the Minister of Tourism, and following the approval of the Cabinet.

Under Article I, Sara Ahmed Buhiji shall be appointed as the CEO of the BTEA, while under Article II, Dana Osama Yousif Al Saad shall be appointed as the Deputy CEO for Resources and Projects at the BTEA.

Under Article III, the Minister of Tourism shall implement the provisions of this decree, which takes effect upon its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also issued Edict (1) of 2024 transferring and appointing directors at the BTEA, based on a proposal of the Minister of Tourism.

Under Article I, Noura Khamis Khalifa Al Saadoun, Director of the Economic Statistics Department at the Information and e-Government Authority (iGA), shall be transferred to the BTEA as Director of the Policy and Planning Department at the BTEA.

Under Article II, Majeed Mohammed Majeed Al Majid shall be appointed as Director of Business Development and Licensing Directorate. Mohamed Ahmed Sanad shall be appointed as Director of the Tourism Control Directorate. Ahmed Yousef Taqi shall be appointed as Director of Projects and Facilities Management. Maryam Ahmed Maseeh Toorani shall be appointed as Director of Marketing and Promotion Directorate. Ali Ahmed Abdullah Dhaif as Director of Resources and Information Directorate.
