Governorate safety awareness drive launched for campers and hikers

The Southern Governorate has organised an awareness campaign to ensure the safety of campers and hikers, and strengthen community partnership with various entities and within its organisational and security efforts during the camping season.

The event is held within the framework of the keenness of His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa to ensure safety of all, in cooperation with Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) and the General Directorate of Civil Defence.

The Southern Governorate is conducting a series of awareness campaigns and field visits in cooperation with various security agencies and the private sector. For the safety of lives and property, Alba distributed several fire extinguishers to campers, encouraging them to adhere to the safety regulations and instructions.

The governorate provides this campaign as part of its security, regulatory, and environmental initiatives to ensure the safety and orderliness of campers throughout the season through the camp services centre. The Southern Governorate carried out numerous programmes and awareness campaigns throughout the wilderness season. It strengthened its collaboration with various competent authorities to activate the role of community partnerships and security coordination with various authorities.
