Filipino community in Bahrain celebrates Feast of Sto. Niño

The Sacred Heart Catholic Church buzzed with breathless joy as Filipinos in the Kingdom of Bahrain came together to celebrate the Feast of Santo Niño in a jovial gathering on 19 January.
About 2,000 Filipinos attended the feast showing love and devotion for the child Jesus as ingrained in Philippine culture and Christian history.
The joyous and colourful occasion was commenced with a Feast Mass officiated by Fr. Ruben Belmonte Barrameda Jr., the Vicar General of the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia.
It was followed by a procession of the images of Señior Sto. Niño and Ati-atihan, Dinagyang, Sinulog program and street dance competition. The festival was attended by the Ambassador, Her Excellency Anne Jalando-on Louis.
