Bahrain, UAE vow to bolster ties and cooperation

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the UAE President, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reviewed the deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and the UAE, asserting keenness to further strengthen cooperation and coordination to serve joint interests, development, and prosperity of the two countries.
This came as HM King Hamad met HH Shaikh Mohammed at His Majesty’s residence in Abu Dhabi. They affirmed the importance of further consolidating joint Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) action to serve the interests of its member states and fulfill the aspirations of their peoples.
The two leaders also discussed the developments in the Middle East, underscoring the importance of mobilising efforts to achieve fair and comprehensive peace to secure stability, development and prosperity for the people of the region.
The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander; and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
The meeting was also attended by Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court; His Highness Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi (EAD); Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor of Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs; and Ali Mohammed Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security.
