Bahrain vows support for joint Arab action

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support for all endeavours taken by the League of Arab States, out of belief in its pivotal role in enhancing joint Arab action, preserving unity, and unifying stances regarding crucial issues.
This came as HM the King, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League. HM King Hamad expressed his appreciation for the secretary general’s efforts in strengthening cooperation and solidarity among Arab countries, defending the just causes of the nation, and preserving its gains, security and stability.
The meeting reviewed ongoing preparations for the 2024 Arab Summit in its 33rd ordinary session, scheduled to be held in Bahrain. His Majesty welcomed the hosting of the upcoming summit, wishing the countries’ leaders success in achieving positive outcomes that serve the Arab nation.
He said that the rapid developments in the region require continuous consultation and coordination to unify stances and overcome challenges. HM King Hamad was briefed on the summit’s agenda and arrangements. Aboul Gheit thanked HM the King for the continued support, affirming the kingdom’s role in serving Arab issues and promoting Arab action. The meeting also discussed the latest regional and global developments.
