Arados Coin Exhibition and Auction sixth edition inaugurated at Seef Mall

His Excellency Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, has officially inaugurated the sixth edition of the renowned Arados Coin Exhibition and Auction at Seef Mall in Manama.
The event drew enthusiastic participation from over 14 countries.
During his visit, the Undersecretary explored the exhibition, featuring a captivating array of rare historical currencies, including Abbasid, Umayyad, and Sassanid coins, King Faisal I of Iraq’s coins, as well as rare Gulf coins and the 1780 coin of Empress Theresa of Austria, among other exceptional pieces.
Emphasising the significant role of coin collecting as a gateway to understanding global cultures, especially for young enthusiasts, the Undersecretary highlighted the hobby’s potential to stimulate historical research and uncover lesser-known historical insights.
He underscored the exhibition’s pivotal role in supporting and encouraging young people in their passions.
Furthermore, Kamal emphasised the value of the auction in expanding opportunities for youth to showcase and market rare currencies, fostering greater public exposure and awareness.
Mohammed Al-Aradi, the exhibition’s organiser, revealed that this year’s activities are overseen by internationally acclaimed currency evaluation companies, including the American company Legacy and the French company Genie, offering amateurs the rare chance to have their currency holdings appraised by expert evaluators over the course of the three-day exhibition.
