Bahrain affirms support for Palestinian cause

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed Bahrain’s support for the Palestinian cause and all efforts to achieve a just, permeant, comprehensive peace in the region.

HM the King reiterated the Kingdom’s support for initiatives to guarantee the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state by the two-state solution and international legitimacy resolutions and to promote prosperity, stability, and peace for all nations in the region.

His Majesty made the statements as he received yesterday Yasser Mahmoud Abbas, son of Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas, at Al Safriya Palace.

Abbas conveyed a verbal message from his father regarding Bahraini-Palestinian relations and recent developments in Palestine. HM King Hamad welcomed Abbas and relayed his greetings to the Palestinian leadership and wishes to the Palestinian people for peace and stability.

Abbas conveyed greetings and appreciation from the Palestinian President to HM the King and expressed sincere wishes for the prosperity and progress of Bahrain and its people.

He commended His Majesty the King’s humanitarian stances in support of the Palestinian people and Bahrain’s stances in support of the legitimate national rights of Palestinians.
