Bahrain committed to embracing global digital collaboration

The Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to initiatives fostering international and institutional collaboration in digital technologies.
He said that the aim is to maximise the economic, social, and environmental benefits of digital advancements and utilise the transition to artificial intelligence for the betterment of humanity, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The focus is on encouraging and exchanging experiences, knowledge transfer, and implementing best practices, he added. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah was speaking as he attended a meeting with ministers and delegation heads participating in the third General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the government’s strides in implementing its ambitious strategy for the ICT sector and the digital economy (2022-2026). This strategy seeks to position Bahrain as a hub for digital innovation, attract leading technology companies, and provide worldclass digital infrastructure. These efforts align with the government’s program for 2023-2026, the goals of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, and sustainable development objectives.
