‘Bahrain will uphold pluralism and harmony’

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa emphasised Bahrain’s unwavering commitment to serving as a homeland that embraces pluralism and stands as a center for cultural convergence and religious coexistence.
HM the King noted that the Kingdom will persist in its moderate and open approach to the global community, safeguarding its foundational principles and authentic national pillars. He said that Bahrain will continue fostering unity among people of diverse cultures and beliefs, driven by faith and a steadfast commitment to values such as love, tolerance, and harmony.
HM King Hamad made the statements as he received His Excellency Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence, and its members at Al Safriya Palace yesterday.
The occasion marked the issuance of a royal decree restructuring the Council and holding its inaugural meeting. During the reception, His Majesty congratulated and praised the competence and experience of the Board of Trustees.
He expressed well wishes for their ongoing success in spreading the Center’s noble message and achieving humanitarian goals. HM the King commended their efforts and acknowledged the achievements of former members.
His Majesty lauded the significant accomplishments of the Center since its inception. He affirmed continued support for its initiatives as a cultural landmark reflecting Bahrain’s rich history. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed expressed gratitude for the royal trust and pride in the responsibility, thanking HM King Hamad for continuous support, and briefing him on the Center’s current and future plans.
