Bahrain, Saudi Arabia Forge Digital Alliance

In a testament to the strong bond between Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Tamkeen Deputy Chairman, His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, welcomed Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, His Excellency Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Alswaha, to the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).

This visit, coinciding with the Digital Cooperation Organization’s General Assembly in Bahrain, underscored a shared commitment to fostering regional digital transformation and economic development.

Emphasizing the deep-rooted ties nurtured by both nations’ leadership, His Excellency Al Malki highlighted the unwavering support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in solidifying this collaboration.

He further reaffirmed Tamkeen’s dedication to His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s vision of creating programs and initiatives that empower the Kingdom’s workforce and fuel national economic growth.

The meeting served as a platform for exchanging valuable insights and exploring avenues for collaboration. Both parties showcased their expertise in technical skills development and ICT entrepreneurship, paving the way for joint initiatives that enhance digital literacy and drive innovation across diverse sectors.

Discussions also centred on facilitating the growth of Bahraini and Saudi companies operating in each other’s markets, fostering a mutually beneficial economic landscape. Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology commended Tamkeen’s efforts in nurturing skilled Bahraini talent, particularly in the ICT domain.

He lauded the Kingdom’s commitment to providing specialized training programs in collaboration with international organizations, recognizing these initiatives as vital for building a future-proof workforce. He further stressed the importance of continued collaboration between the two Kingdoms to ensure a prosperous future for their people.
