The Indian Embassy in Bahrain organised the first Open House of 2024 yesterday, chaired by the Ambassador, His Excellency Vinod Kurian Jacob. The Embassy’s consular team and panel of lawyers were also present.
More than 60 Indian citizens participated in the event conducted in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. Mr. Jacob expressed happiness at the overwhelming participation of Indian community members at the flag-hoisting ceremony organized by the Embassy to celebrate the 75th Republic Day of India.
He also expressed happiness over the enthusiastic participation of members of the Indian community in the “India in Bahrain Festival” organised by the Embassy on January 12.
Ambassador Jacob thanked and commended the tireless efforts of Indian associations, due to which most of the cases pertaining to consular and labour matters were resolved last year and a large number of needy individuals were provided assistance.
The Ambassador thanked the local government authorities for their continued support and cooperation in taking care of the expat community.
The cooperation between them and the Embassy has been invaluable and will continue to strengthen as we move forward. It was a fruitful interactive session.
The grievances and issues of the Indian community were successfully addressed; some were resolved at the open house, while others will be taken up at the earliest possible time.
Ambassador Jacob thanked all the Indian associations and community members for their active participation in the open house.
