Al Noor International School celebrates CBSE annual day

The CBSE section of Al Noor International School celebrated its 22nd Annual Day on November 19.
The theme for the occasion was based on the value of respect.
Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha was the chief guest. School Chairman Ali Hasan, Principal Rashid Mandi, Vice-Principal Amin Mohammed Ahmed Hulaiwah, Director Dr Muhammad Mashood, the head teachers of various sections, officials from the Ministry of Education, parents and prominent members of the Bahrain community were among those present.
Aysha Sahial Akram recited few verses from the Holy Quran. Adnan Mohammed delivered the welcome speech in Arabic, Poosarala Sai Sparsh in English, Hani Ashraf in French and Tahura Tabassum in Hindi.
The students presented entertaining programmes, showcasing the talents of all the age groups, with the emphasis on the significance of respect for the family, elders, culture and
nature.
The Kindergarten students dazzled the audience with their amazing dance performance. The programme, Disney Dreams, mirrored the magic of Disney. The Blissful Blossoms praised the bounty of nature with their colourful dance routine.
The Rhythm of Nature by senior students sent the strong message of sustainable development for the protection of mankind.
English Play ‘The Gift of the Almighty’ stressed the value of respect for one’s family and elders. It proved very popular and attracted enthusiastic applause from the
audience.
Alok Kumar Sinha presented trophies to deserving students for their academic achievements. The following students received recognition for their outstanding performance:
Shanthosh Kumar (Grade 1), Panchami Ashok Kumar (Grade 2), Munira Mustafa (Grade 3), Kalyani Kavitha (Grade 4), Nishanth Nithyananda Shet (Grade 5), Yeshas Krishna (Grade 6,) Shamila Salik (Grade 7), R owena Eliza Thomas (Grade 8), Tahenan Haroon Shamashapure (Grade 9) and Wissem Bououdina (Grade 11). The school chairman presented a special memento to Alok Kumar Sinha.
One hundred and forty-five students received awards for their participation in the various talent competitions held during the course of the school year. Nishanth Nithyananda Shet received a special award for winning the Sastra Prathiba contest 2015.
