The Bahrain Contemporary Art Society celebrated the launch of the International Gulf Symposium’s second edition.

The decision to repeat the event was prompted by the overwhelming success of its inaugural forum, drawing attendees and participants from within and outside the Kingdom.

Over 200 male and female artists from 20 countries convened at the society’s headquarters, supported by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) and sponsored by the National Arts Council. Artists from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait led the diverse group.

The symposium, a reflection of Bahrain’s commitment to cultural coexistence and development goals, showcased a myriad of artistic expressions, including ceramics, painting, sculpture, and printing. Participants emphasised art’s role in fostering communication, exchanging experiences, and exploring new artistic horizons.
