HM King Hamad and HH Shaikh Mishal pledge to boost Bahrain-Kuwait economic partnership

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Kuwaiti Amir His Highness Shaikh Mishal Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah held talks to strengthen bilateral ties and strategic partnership across various fields.

HM King Hamad welcomed HH Shaikh Mishal at Al Sakhir Palace, marking the official one-day visit of Kuwaiti Amir to the Kingdom of Bahrain yesterday.

During the meeting, HM King Hamad presented HH Shaikh Mishal with the Order of Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa-Exceptional Class Collar, acknowledging the Kuwaiti Amir’s contributions to strengthening bilateral relations.

They lauded the growth of trade and investment relations between the two nations, underscoring the significance of expanding cooperation and economic partnership. They affirmed their commitment to exploring new economic opportunities and welcomed efforts by Kuwaiti and Bahraini investors to capitalise on mega projects in various sectors.

Furthermore, they highlighted the success of the joint security committee meeting held in July 2023 and endorsed the formation of executive work teams between interior ministries to enhance strategic relations, contributing to regional security and stability. They lauded the growth of trade and investment relations between the two nations, underscoring the significance of expanding cooperation and economic partnership.

The two leaders affirmed their commitment to exploring new economic opportunities and welcomed efforts by Kuwaiti and Bahraini investors to capitalise on mega projects in various sectors. HH Shaikh Mishal expressed well-wishes for the upcoming 33rd Arab Summit, hosted by Bahrain on May 16, aiming to enhance joint Arab action and achieve peace and stability in the region. He expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the warm welcome and hospitality.
