US Embassy hosts American hip-hop and breakdancing event as part of Bahrain Spring of Culture celebration

In collaboration with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), the US Embassy hosted a hiphop and breakdancing performance at the Cultural Hall, on Thursday, February 15th. The performance was part of the 2024 annual Bahrain Spring of Culture.
His Excellency Ambassador Steven C. Bondy attended the performance and congratulated the US Arts Envoy on an amazing hip-hop and breakdancing performance, further strengthening the people-to-people ties between the US and Bahrain.
The five-member ensemble of artist-athletes included Frankie Perez, Randi Freitas, Ken Fury, Anthony Cabrera, and Carmarry Hall.
During their time in Bahrain, they met with students from local schools, hosted workshops for young creatives with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and collaborated with local breakdancing talent from the Bahrain Breakers, who opened the show on February 15th.
The US is committed to high-caliber cultural exchange with Bahrain.
Programs like this exchange affirm our shared commitment to peace, coexistence, and friendship.
The evening ended on a high note with interaction between the artists and the audience and a standing ovation.
