The Bahrain Grand Prix wasn’t just about high-octane racing this year. Fans got a taste of the action up close, with some special guests receiving an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience.

Fans of Formula 1 from the Bahrain Paralympic Committee got the chance to get an Oracle Red Bull Racing Garage Tour on Saturday, the final day of the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix.

Amal Fardan and Roba Al Omari, athletes for the Bahrain Paralympic Committee who are huge fans of Oracle Red Bull Racing, toured the garage and got to check out the Red Bull RB19, one of the most dominant F1 cars ever, before the race.

The fans got a sense of the logistics and a close-up look at how a high-performance race car was getting ready for the race. Fardan said the tour will hold a special place in her Formula 1 memories that she will cherish forever with her best friend.

“The experience was so cool, and the garage felt like entering a high-tech lab for race cars.

My favourite thing was the graphics of the racetrack and the high-technology screens in the colours of Red Bull,” Fardan said.

Al Omari said a lot of people would die for this opportunity and that the way Red Bull has set up the garage is so efficient.

“The experience lived up to the hype. I am so happy I got the chance to see how the race cars go through the process of final preparations,” she said.

While looking at the team inspecting the wheels of the Red Bull Racing RB19, Al Omari asked the crew how heavy the race car was and said she wasn’t expecting it to only weigh 798 kilogrammes.

The players also asked how the team remembers each detail of the car, what they are expecting from the evening race, and what kind of food the drivers should eat before the race.

Noor Husain, office manager of the president and secretary general of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee, said the tour was a great recognition and honour to the Paralympic players in Bahrain by the Red Bull team and expressed her heartfelt thanks to the team members.

“It was the best experience ever, getting to witness the inner workings before the race.

Our players were so excited and happy,” Husain said.
