Indian Embassy in Bahrain live-streams ‘Chalo India Campaign’ launch

The Embassy of India in the Kingdom of Bahrain live-streamed the launch of “Chalo India Campaign” yesterday by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
Ambassador H.E. Mr. Vinod K. Jacob joined the members of Indian community in witnessing the live-stream at the Embassy.
In his speech, PM Narendra Modi urged every member of the India Diaspora to invite friends from around the world to visit India. Following the conclusion of PM’s speech, Ambassador Jacob also held a discussion with Indian community members on the relevance of the “Chalo India Campaign” in Bahrain, and how it contributes to deepening the people to people connect between India and Bahrain.
In his speech, the Ambassador conveyed that India and Bahrain have historical and civilizational links, which stretches back 4000 years connecting Indus Valley with Dilmun. In the current context there is a need to give a fresh impetus to such links.
Equally, the opportunity lies in the future growth potential of the Indian economy. In the last quarter, India grew at a pace of over 8 percent. Ambassador Jacob urged the Indian community to work with determination towards ensuring the success of Chalo India Campaign, given its special resonance for India-Bahrain ties.
Ambassador also urged the members of the Indian community to become “Incredible India Ambassadors” and to invite friends of India in Bahrain to visit India.
