Today marks the final edition of the Budaiya Farmers Market before the holy month of Ramadan begins. This vibrant marketplace offers a unique opportunity to support local farmers and stock up on delicious ingredients before the Ramadan fast commences.
“The market features various kinds of local market stalls,” said Seerous Mohd Baker Shakeeb, a dedicated volunteer at the Farmers Market.
“Visitors can expect a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and other locally-sourced goods.” Beyond the bounty of local produce, the Budaiya Farmers Market boasts a family-friendly atmosphere.
“There’s a dedicated play area for children to enjoy while their parents shop,” Mr. Shakeeb added.
“We also have convenient parking available for all visitors.” Enthusiastic volunteers are positioned throughout the market to answer any questions and provide helpful information to visitors.
Since December, the market has been a weekend staple at the beautiful Budaiya Botanical Gardens, attracting residents and visitors alike.
Every Saturday, from 8 am to 2 pm, the market has offered a treasure trove of locally-grown fruits, vegetables, and flowers, alongside exquisite Bahraini handicrafts.
Organisers are encouraging everyone to come and enjoy the last market of the season.
It’s a perfect opportunity to stock up on fresh produce, support local businesses, and soak in the beautiful atmosphere of the Budaiya Botanical Gardens.
