Indian Embassy extends support to Diaspora in Bahrain at Open House

The Embassy of India hosted an Open House yesterday, chaired by Ambassador Vinod Kurian Jacob.
Alongside the Embassy’s Consular team, a panel of Lawyers was also present.
Over 25 Indian nationals participated in the event, which was conducted in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam languages.
Ambassador Jacob extended Ramadan greetings and offered wishes for International Women’s Day during his address at the Open House.
He expressed gratitude to Bahrain Government authorities, including the Ministry of Labour, LMRA, and Immigration authorities, for their prompt support and action on Consular and Community Welfare matters.
The Ambassador also commended the commitment and dedication of Indian Community Associations and volunteers.
Many of the issues raised during the previous Open House sessions have been successfully resolved.
The Embassy continues to provide assistance to distressed housemaids by offering boarding and lodging facilities, as well as issuing Emergency Certificates and tickets through ICWF.
Legal assistance is also extended to distressed Indian nationals based on a means-tested basis through ICWF.
