Bahrain set to mark annual Community Partnership Day today

It is important to consolidate the values of patriotism, community partnership, and promotion of national culture, and respect for the law.

This was emphasised by Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam as he commended the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to promote these values.

Al Musallam was speaking as the Kingdom marks the celebration of Community Partnership Day, which is held annually on March 18. He praised the efforts of the Minister of Interior, His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, on achieving the goals of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainouna) in marking the event.

The Speaker lauded the efforts of the loyal ministry’s officials and Bahraini citizens in fostering security and stability, as well as implementing projects, initiatives, and programmes that go in line with the kingdom’s humanitarian efforts to protect human rights and advance the community work system.

He emphasised the achievements of the Anti-Violence and Addiction Programme “Maan” (Together), underscoring the set of principles of peaceful coexistence, countering extremism, cybersecurity regulations, and innovative approaches like alternative punishments and open prisons.

These initiatives have significantly advanced the criminal justice system, fostering human rights promotion. Al Musallam affirmed the legislative branch’s support for all national programmes that promote patriotism rooted in societal customs and traditions, as well as raising awareness about the significance of preserving these values and passing them down to future generations.

Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh praised the efforts of the interior ministry and its affiliates and officials, marking the occasion today. He affirmed the sincere national efforts to maintain security and develop a productive community partnership, and strengthen the values of loyalty and patriotism.

Al Saleh congratulated General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah on the occasion and commended the dedication of the ministry and its affiliates on maintaining community security and stability of the kingdom, by applying the best security practices and developing methods of cooperation as per national, constitutional, and legal principles.
