HRH Princess Sabeeka to patronise meet
HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Chairwoman, will patronise tomorrow the “Women in the Financial and Banking Sector” Conference, organised by the Central Bank of Bahrain, in cooperation with the SCW.
The conference crowns a year-long campaign dedicated to highlighting the achievements of Bahraini women, who are working in the financial and banking sector and the challenges facing them.
The event features various sessions and panel discussions with a wide-range regional and international participation. It is expected to attract more than 250 personalities, including senior officials, representatives of the management of the financial and banking institutions in Bahrain. Women who are holding leadership posts in the sector and the new generation of young women who are aiming to climb the career ladder will also attend.
A number of prominent speakers will participate in the conference. Among them are the Al Salam Bank’s Board of Directors Chairperson and CEO of inJAz Bahrain Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chief Executive of the UK Women on Boards Davies Review Denise Wilson, Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Deutsche Bank Group Gülabatin Sun, Deputy CEO at Arab Bank Randa Sadik, Managing Director at Citigroup Dr. Safa Mahnaz, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of ICICI Bank Limited in India Chanda Kochhar, Managing Partner, Intellect Resources Management Sabah Al Moayed, Chief Executive Officer, Al-Baraka Banking Group Adnan Ahmed Yousif, Chief Financial Officer at Standard Chartered Bank Bahrain Shaikha Tareef and Executive Assistant at Investcorp Bank Shaikha Al Shaiba.
The CBB and SCW have already hosted a series of events including roundtables and forums to highlight issues of importance relating to women’s advancement in the sector.
