HM King Hamad ratifies Bahrain-GCC telecoms deal

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ratified and promulgated Law (3) of 2024. The law ratified the agreement between Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) regarding the headquarters of the Technical Telecommunications Office in Bahrain, following the approval of the Shura Council and the Representatives Council.

Under Article I, the agreement was ratified between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) regarding the Technical Teleommunications Office headquarters in Bahrain, signed in Manama on November 19, 2023, and attached to this law.

HM the King issued Decree (25) of 2024, appointing an undersecretary and two assistant undersecretaries at the Ministry of Information, based on a proposal by the Minister of Information and following the approval of the Cabinet.

Under Article I, Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil shall be appointed as the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information. Under Article II, the following shall be appointed at the Ministry of Information: Younis Salman Hasan Al Ghais as Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television Affairs; and Abdulrahman Khalid Ahmed Al Midfaa as Assistant Undersecretary for News and Regulatory Affairs.

His Majesty issued Decree (26) of 2024, appointing an Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, based on a proposal by the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, and following the approval of the Cabinet.

Under Article 1, Sadiq Jafar Shaikh Mansour Al Sitri shall be appointed as Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information at the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture.
