Bahrain eagerly anticipates the arrival of Eid Al Fitr, expected on Wednesday, April 10. Since Ramadan 2024 began on March 11, citizens and expatriates eagerly await the festive occasion, filling their hearts with joy and anticipation.

The sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon on Ramadan 29 may prove challenging due to a coinciding solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th, as noted by the Astronomical Society.

This celestial event adds an air of mystery and excitement to the traditional moon-sighting process. During Eid Al Fitr, Bahraini families and friends unite to celebrate.

They don traditional attire and embark on visits to relatives’ and friends’ houses, strengthening social bonds.

Festivities include lavish feasts where delectable meals are shared and enjoyed. Saudi Arabia has already announced its Eid public holiday, commencing on Monday, April 8, and extending until Thursday, April 11.

This four-day holiday, along with the weekend break, offers many a luxurious six-day respite. However, for weekend workers, the holiday period lasts until Sunday, April 14.

In Bahrain, anticipation mounts for the announcement of public and private Eid holidays.

These breaks provide an opportunity for people to spend quality time with loved ones, create cherished memories, and foster togetherness.
