Bahrain greets Syria on Independence Day

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent cables of congratulations to President Bashar Al Assad of Syria, on his country’s Independence Day. HM King Hamad and HRH Prince Salman wished the president abundant health and to the people of Syria further progress and prosperity.

HM the King and His Royal Highness praised the strong Bahraini-Syrian relations, affirming the keenness to further strengthen ties in various domains. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister sent a similar cable to Prime Minister Hussein Arnous.

Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam also sent cables of congratulations to Hammouda Youssef Sabbagh, Speaker of the People’s Council of Syria. Al Saleh and Al Musallam sent a similar cable to His Excellency Mohammed Ali Ibrahim, Ambassador of Syria to Bahrain. They praised the strong Bahraini-Syrian relations, wishing Speaker Sabbagh abundant health and the people of Syria further progress and prosperity, and affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to support and enhance parliamentary cooperation.
