Bahrain's Northern Municipal Council has begun processing over 100 applications from citizens affected by recent heavy rainfall. This is following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Northern Municipal Council chairman Dr. Sayed Shuber Al Wadaei confirmed that the council is actively reviewing applications and ensuring they meet the criteria established by the Damage Assessment Committee.
He stated that the council is working closely with citizens to ensure they complete the forms correctly and provide all necessary documents. “We are committed to assisting citizens and ensuring they receive proper compensation for the damage they have incurred,” said Dr. Al Wadaei. “The council has received over 100 applications today, and we are diligently reviewing them and verifying the damages before submitting them to the Ministry of Works.”
He emphasised that the council’s role is to register applications and submit them with the required documents to the Ministry of Works, which will then take the necessary action based on the Damage Assessment Committee’s decision. Dr. Al Wadaei reiterated the council’s unwavering commitment to supporting citizens and preparing files in their best interests.
