ILA holds successful Annual Day Celebrations

The Indian Ladies Association (ILA) held the annual day celebrations at the Al Murjan Ballroom, Movenpick Hotel.

This event was held to commemorate the successful completion of the tenure by the Executive Committee of 2023 and handing over the duties to the new team of 2024.

The Chief Guest for this event was Dr.Bahia Al Jishi, Member of the Supreme Council of Women, Former Bahraini Ambassador to Belgium, the European Union, and Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and Winner of the Muslim World Rania Award 2024 for her contribution to the empowerment of women and diplomacy.

The other dignitaries included Mr. Yusuf Lori, Director of Information and Follow-up, Capital Governorate; Ms. Basma Mubarak, Member of the Council of Representatives; and Mr. PV Radhakrishnapillai, Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award Recipient.

A reputed playback singer, Arvind Venugopal, from India, enthralled the audience with vocal renditions of soulful as well as popular Hindi songs from Bollywood and his signature song, "Nagumo."

The subcommittees, sponsors, and all the well-wishers supporting ILA during the move to the new premises were felicitated with mementoes.

The outgoing team of 2023 was led by Hon. President Sarada Ajith, along with Vice President Sunanda Gaikwad, Treasurer Kiran Mangle, General Secretary Dr. Tejender Kaur Sarna, and Secy Public Relations. Raka Mukhopadhyay, Secy.
