A captivating cultural evening to delve into the themes explored by Akram Miknas’s latest book, ‘From Rulership to Leadership in the Arab World,’ was held on April 27 at the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre Hall in Muharraq. Throughout the event, he reflected on various aspects of his career, spanning nearly four decades in the dynamic advertising industry. Akram Miknas is synonymous with the birth and growth of the advertising industry in the Middle East.

He showcased his expertise in the book ‘I’m Not Done,’ which was launched in English and Arabic versions.

He embodied the styles of David Ogilvy and Leo Burnett with a flair all his own, and his vision of the industry was far more sophisticated than that of any of his contemporaries.”

In an interview with The Daily Tribune, the author discussed the challenges of advertising a business when media outlets were hesitant to take on the account.

His book, ‘I Am Not Done,’ serves as a valuable resource for understanding these historical difficulties. In 1968, Miknas founded Fortune Promoseven (FP7), now the largest advertising and communications agency in the region.
