As the rain swept through Bahrain yesterday, traffic patrols sprang into action to manage the aftermath, ensuring road safety and traffic flow.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications issued advisories regarding thunderstorms detected yesterday in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia, potentially affecting Bahrain’s northern areas.

Meteorological forecasts indicated continued rainfall and strong gusts throughout the day today, with winds reaching speeds of up to 40 knots before shifting direction in the evening.

The traffic patrols monitored roads, diverted traffic where necessary, and attended to accidents and breakdowns, facilitating the smooth movement of vehicles.

Simultaneously, the General Administration of Civil Defense swiftly responded to reports of fallen trees, lighting poles, and other hazards caused by the inclement weather.

Their prompt interventions addressed potential risks and ensured public safety, particularly in areas prone to flooding and infrastructure damage.
