BTEA and Manama Souq Committee Convene for Collaborative Session

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) convened a productive session with the Manama Souq Development Committee to discuss advancements in the souq development initiative and the Authority's recent endeavors.
During the meeting, Her Excellency Sarah Buhijji, CEO of BTEA, emphasized the ongoing efforts to develop the Manama Souq to strengthen its position as a tourist destination and to Raising its levels of organization in a manner that reflects an elegant modern design inspired by authentic Bahraini heritage.
This approach aims to further showcase the identity of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its rich ancient culture.
The efforts of the members of the Manama Souq Development Committee were noted, along with their perspectives on souq development. H.E. Buhijji expressed BTEA’s support for these endeavors, aiming to achieve common goals and enhance the prominence of Manama Souq as a key tourist destination in Bahrain.
It is envisioned as a cultural treasure for visitors to the Kingdom and the capital city of Manama, contributing to its historical, cultural, and human heritage.
The CEO of BTEA underscored the significance of the events program organized by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority within the Manama souq and highlighted that the souq has recently hosted numerous events organized and endorsed by the authority, such as the "Mosqaf Evenings" series, which encompassed a diverse array of Ramadan events and activities.
Such events play a pivotal role in bolstering the influx of visitors to the Manama souq, spanning citizens, residents, and tourists from beyond Bahrain's borders, and they also contribute to boost commercial and tourism activities within the souq.
