The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has met with the Manama Market Development Committee to discuss the ongoing progress of the market development project and the Bahrain Tourism Authority’s activities within it.
During the meeting, Her Excellency Mrs. Sarah Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of BTEA, reiterated the Authority’s commitment to enhancing Manama Market’s stature as a tourist hotspot.
Buhiji emphasised the importance of elevating the market’s organisation and design to reflect Bahrain’s rich heritage, expressing the Kingdom’s historical identity through modern elegance.
She acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the Manama Souq Development Committee members, highlighting their pivotal role in guiding the market’s development.
Buhiji affirmed the Authority’s support for their endeavors, aiming to achieve mutual objectives and bolster Manama Souq’s status as a premier tourist destination.
The BTEA Chief Executive underscored the significance of BTEA’s event program in Manama Market.
Recent events like the “Masqaf Evenings” during Ramadan have showcased the market’s cultural vibrancy, enriching the visitor experience and promoting Bahrain’s cultural heritage.
