Consular Outreach Mission and Health, Wellness Camp successful

The Philippine Embassy conducted a Consular Outreach Mission and a Health & Wellness Camp in conjunction with the OWWA “Balik Saya” for OFWs in the Bahrain, which was held at the Oasis Mall in Juffair.

The Embassy extended consular and ATN services and also conducted mobile Overseas Voting Registration.

The Embassy’s SSS Office and a team from PhilHealth in the Philippines extended services during the event. The Embassy also coordinated with Pag-IBIG on the extension of virtual services to clients.

The Embassy also coordinated with the Filipino community umbrella organisation, Filipino Club Bahrain (FCB), on the conduct of a health and wellness camp.

The FCB organised free checkups and examinations onsite with the following partners: KIMSHEALTH Hospital, Abbott, Vision & Style Opticals, Philippine Bahrain Caregivers Society, and the Filisian Institute.

The latter offered free therapeutic massage to the OFWs. Six hundred and eighty-seven Filipinos registered and availed of the various services during the above Consular Outreach Mission and Health and Wellness Camp.

The Consular Outreach Mission and Health & Wellness Camp were followed by the OWWA “Balik Saya” program, which showcased Filipino artists from the Philippines, singer, Ms. Aila Santos, and comedians, Mr. Eric Nicolas and Tuko They were joined by Peter Rosalita from Abu Dhabi, UAE, who was a semi-finalist in America’s Got Talent season 16.
