NIHR hosts Kuwaiti delegation to discuss rights initiatives

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) welcomed a delegation from Kuwait, headed by Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Al Duaij Al Sabah, Kuwait’s Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Human Rights.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the NIHR’s operational framework, focusing on the roles and responsibilities of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights.
Dr. Malallah Jaffar Alhammadi, Head of the Detention and Facilities Visitation Committee, provided insights into the NIHR’s efforts in addressing human rights issues.
Dr. Hooreya Abbas Hasan, Member of the Council of Commissioners, highlighted the specialized role of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in advocating for and safeguarding children’s rights in the kingdom.
The delegation expressed a mutual interest in sharing knowledge and expertise to advance common objectives.
