The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments has issued a stern warning regarding the risks associated with participating in fake or unlicensed Hajj campaigns.

People are urged to refrain from traveling for Hajj independently without the necessary permits, as doing so may lead to legal consequences for violating regulations and procedures.

The Religious Affairs Department of the Ministry emphasises the importance of adhering to laws and instructions set forth both the High Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia.

Only individuals with a valid Hajj permit issued by the competent authorities in Saudi Arabia are permitted to undertake the pilgrimage.

The Department urges cooperation from all to combat irregular behaviour related to Hajj travel.

It stresses that the only authorised means of performing Hajj rituals is through obtaining a permit from the relevant authorities.

To identify licensed Bahraini Hajj campaigns, a list is availability on the "Islamiyat" application.

“Islamiyat” is a cultural application provided by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs & Awqaf and the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This information can be accessed through the e-government application store at bahrain.bh/apps.
