EWA plans solar power stations in Al Dur

The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) has received two bids for the planned Solar Power Stations in the Al Dur area of the Southern Governorate in the Kingdom of Bahrain. ALPHA ENERGY GENERATIONS CO. W.L.L and TBEA Xinjiang Sunoasis Company Limited are the bidding companies.
This project aligns with the National Goals of diversifying and sustaining energy resources, furthering the objectives of Bahrain’s energy transformation plan.
With an anticipated production capacity ranging between 90 and 100 megawatts, the project aims to contribute significantly to the country’s renewable energy sector.
The tender for construction works will be implemented on a Turnkey basis, encompassing Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Supply of materials, Installation, Testing & commissioning, and Civil & Electromechanical works.
Additionally, the stations will be connected to EWA’s Electricity Transmission network.
The project’s implementation period is set at 18 months from the date of the tender award.
