HM King hailed on Summit’s succes

The Cabinet congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the success of the 33rd Arab Summit, which was hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain and held under the presidency of HM the King.
The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, yesterday chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The Cabinet said that HM the King’s presidency had a significant role in the summit’s success, noting that the summit’s outcomes will further cement Arab unity.
It stressed the importance of HM the King’s address at the 33rd Arab Summit, which emphasised the necessity of reaching a consensus on endorsing peace as a strategic, indispensable choice to maintain the progress of humanity towards a brighter future, as well as HM the King’s announcement of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s proposal of a suite of initiatives to contribute to serving core issues essential to the stability and development of the region.
The Cabinet commended Team Bahrain’s joint efforts, including that of the government ministries and entities and private sector institutions, all of which contributed to the success of the summit.
In this regard, the Cabinet directed the formation of a national committee concerned with coordinating and following up on the implementation of the initiatives submitted by Bahrain to the Arab Summit.
On the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Cabinet expressed its congratulations to HM the King and GCC leaders, commending the Council’s achievements and accomplishments across all sectors.
Congratulations
The Cabinet congratulated the newly appointed Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, for forming Kuwait’s government. The Cabinet further wished him success in serving Kuwait and its people.
The Cabinet extended its condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran following the passing of its President, Ebrahim Raisi, and other officials in the tragic accident. The Cabinet then discussed several memorandums during the meeting, approving the following:
1. A memorandum submitted by the Government Executive Committee on developing mechanisms for companies that enhance food security in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
2. A memorandum submitted by the Minister of Social Development and the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning on the latest developments concerning those affected by the recent fire in a residential building in the Al Lawzi area.
3. A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on the government’s response to three proposals and two laws submitted by the Council of Representatives.
