Al Musallam affirms call to solidify Gulf cooperation

Council of Representatives Speaker, His Excellency Ahmed Al Musallam, has asserted Bahrain’s firm support for strengthening Gulf Cooperation in line with the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations to fulfil the expectations of GCC citizens.

The Speaker was speaking as he sent a congratulatory note to H.E. Jasem Mohammed AlBudaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC, on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the GCC’s establishment.

Al Musallam acknowledged the strategic efforts of HM the King and the initiatives led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in promoting Gulf cooperation in various developmental sectors.

Their leadership has been crucial in progressing joint projects aimed at the well-being, interests, and future opportunities of the Gulf community.

This enduring support is rooted in the historical connections, common goals, and collective destiny shared by the GCC countries.

Lifelines

The historical bonds between the GCC countries, he asserts, aren’t just lines on a map; they’re lifelines that have sustained and will continue to sustain this region.

They’re the foundation upon which the Gulf legislative councils build their solid support for the GCC framework — a framework that’s not just a shield ensuring regional security and stability but also a springboard for prosperity.

He concluded with a supplication for divine blessings on the ongoing progress, development, and prosperity of the GCC leaders and their communities.
