Derasat holds talks on ‘electricity diplomacy’

The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), in association with the US Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, hosted a Think Talk titled “Unlocking the Value of Electricity Diplomacy”, yesterday at Derasat’s headquarters in Awali.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Lawrence E. Jones, Senior Vice President for International Programs at Edison Electric Institute (EEI) in the US.
Dr. Jones, an award-winning author and seasoned practitioner with over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, provided insightful perspectives on the mutual benefits of electricity diplomacy and its potential for bilateral and multilateral engagement to enhance energy security.
The event aimed to underscore how electricity diplomacy, by fostering collaboration and mutual understanding among nations, can help mitigate the impacts of geopolitical challenges.
