Handsome prizes up for grabs in bodybuilding championship

Hussain Baqir, the Financial Secretary of the Bahrain Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and Chairman of the Finance Committee, has announced the prize details for the upcoming His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Open Bodybuilding Championship.

Set for 23 August at the Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall at the University of Bahrain, the event is expected to attract broad participation and fierce competition.

Baqir outlined the prize money for the various categories: in the bodybuilding weight categories of 70 kilograms, 80 kilograms, 90 kilograms, and above 90 kilograms, the first-place winner will receive BD800, the second-place winner will get BD300, and the third-place winner will take home BD100.

For the physique categories of 170 cm, 174 cm, 179 cm, and above 179 cm, the prize amounts are the same: BD800 for first place, BD300 for second, and BD100 for third in each height category.

The classic physique categories of 168 cm, 171 cm, 175 cm, and 180 cm follow the same prize structure. In the muscle physique categories of 179 cm and above, both categories offer BD800 for first place, BD300 for second, and BD300 for third.

The junior bodybuilding category awards a cash prize of BD500 to the first-place winner, as do the Master Bodybuilding and Master Physique categories, with BD500 for their first-place winners.
