Health Minister attends 77th World Health Assembly

The Minister of Health, Her Excellency Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayyed Jawad Hasan, participated in the opening of 77th World Health Assembly, held under the title ‘Health for All, All for Health’.
The minister delivered Bahrain’s statement at the meeting.
She emphasised that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is committed to the development of healthcare as a top national priority.
Dr. Al Sayed added that the comprehensive approach for advancing healthcare in the kingdom focuses on high-quality, accessible healthcare for all Bahraini citizens, demonstrating the country’s dedication to the well-being of its people.
She added that initiatives to achieve this include investing in infrastructure, developing workforces, and accommodating global objectives for digital transformation.
The minister spoke about Bahrain’s initiative proposed at the 33rd Arab Summit on improving healthcare for those affected by conflicts in the region.
The initiative also aims at developing the pharmaceutical and vaccine industry in Arab countries, and ensuring the availability of medicine and treatment, in cooperation and joint coordination between the Arab League, the World Health Organisation and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
