Cameras catch ‘appalling scenes’: Teacher faces dismissal after assaults on students

The Ministry of Education issued a stern statement yesterday, announcing an investigation into a distressing incident at a local public school.

According to the report, a staff member at Wadi AlSail Primary Intermediate Boys School has been accused of repeatedly physically assaulting students. Surveillance footage from the school brought to light the appalling scenes, prompting the Ministry to take immediate action.

The staff member in question has been referred to an administrative investigation, with the Ministry recommending his immediate dismissal.

The Ministry stressed emphatically that any form of corporal or verbal punishment against students is considered a serious professional violation.

Termination

The penalties for such actions can lead to the termination of employment in the educational sector.

The Ministry pointed out the importance of ensuring a safe, nurturing, and non-violent learning environment for all students.

It reiterated the necessity for all educational institutions to completely avoid employing such unacceptable disciplinary methods.
