Labour camps, workshops and warehouses inspected

The Capital Governorate, in collaboration with relevant government agencies, has launched an inspection campaign targeting labour housing, workshops, and warehouses within the governorate’s jurisdiction.
The campaign aims to identify and rectify violations related to irregular labour practices, buildings used for purposes other than their intended use, and non-compliance with health and safety requirements.
During the campaign, inspection teams conducted site visits to 313 buildings across the governorate. They identified 255 buildings violating safety regulations and initiated legal proceedings against the offenders.
Additionally, measures were taken to rectify the situation in other buildings and ensure their compliance with established standards.
Following a recommendation from the governorate’s security committee, inspection teams also visited nine workshops and warehouses in the Salhiya area.
Violations
They discovered several violations related to safety regulations and referred the cases to the relevant authorities for appropriate legal action.
The inspection campaign involved the participation of various government entities, including Nationality, Passports & Residence Affairs, the General Directorate of Civil Defense, the Capital Governorate Police Directorate, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the Ministry of Labour, and the Electricity and Water Authority
