The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has invited specialised companies to submit proposals for a tender to organise and implement promotional platforms in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries like the UAE and Kuwait.

The aim of this initiative is to attract tourists and visitors from the GCC region for the third edition of the Bahrain Festive Season. The tender document specifies a contract duration of five months and an initial guarantee of 500 dinars.

The BTEA has set a closing date of June 26, 2024, for the submission of proposals. Previously, BTEA announced the tremendous success of the 2023 Bahrain Festive Season, which saw the participation of nearly 7,000 people at the Water Garden City and 21,800 at Marassi Bahrain.

The event also witnessed a significant turnout in other locations, including Bahrain Bay, Bahrain Financial Harbour, Bahrain Fort, Bahrain National Museum, and Najma Club. Visitors Furthermore, the “Festive City” festival attracted over 100,000 visitors, including individuals, families, citizens, residents, and tourists.

This remarkable success underscores the resounding triumph of the Bahrain Festive Season, which featured a diverse range of family, musical, cultural, and sporting events held across various Governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain over a month.

The events were organised in collaboration with numerous partners to mark the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national holidays, the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the throne, and other national occasions. Success Building upon the success of the 2023 edition, BTEA aims to sustain it in the Bahrain Festive Season.

The 2023 season witnessed significant attendance and participation in its various events held across key locations in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This is precisely what the BTEA intends to achieve through this tender, promoting the season in the GCC countries for the third year of the event.
