‘A roadmap for future of diplomatic relations’

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s recent visits to countries with influence in the international system is a roadmap for the future of diplomatic relations, said MP Maryam Al Dhaen.

Stressing the importance of the visits, the MP, who is the Council of Representatives’ Vice Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs, Defence, and National Security Committee, pointed out that these visits come right after the resounding success achieved by the Kingdom in hosting the Arab Summit.

Through these visits, His Majesty has reached understandings that support Arab issues and has achieved balance in the international positions towards these issues, the MP said.

These efforts are consistent with the contents of the Bahrain Declaration adopted by the Arab Summit, she noted.

Along with the government directives, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamal Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the diplomatic relationship with these countries encompass fields such as trade and economy as well as scientific and technological cooperation, taking into account the effective and influential global and strategic weight both Russian and China have in international decision-making, the MP stated.

The royal visits contributed to consolidating the concept of military and defence cooperation among brotherly and friendly countries, the MP said, while pointing out the efforts by Lieutenant-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, and Royal Guard Commander, to achieve the royal vision in this regard.
