Bahrain pushes for environmental initiatives, projects

Bahrain is committed to continue the implementation of national environmental and climate-related initiatives and projects that are underway, in line with with its commitment to international agreements and treaties on the protection of the environment and wildlife.
This was emphasised by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the President of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE).
In a statement on World Environment Day, HH Shaikh Abdullah said that the participation of Bahrain in the celebration of this World Environmental Day is a demonstration of the directives and the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on prioritising environmental and climate issues as key components of sustainable development.
