Ministry of Interior Responds to Over 17,000 Calls in April

The Ministry of Interior in Bahrain received a total of 17,066 calls in April, with the majority being handled by the Patrol Directorate, according to recents statistics released by the competent authority.
The Patrol Directorate responded to 12% of the calls, with 3% related to security issues, 32% to traffic violations, and 56% to general response requests.
The Coast Guard Command received 156 calls, including 94 requests for assistance, 7 maritime incidents, and 55 search and rescue and vessel breakdown calls.
The National Ambulance responded to 4,671 calls, including 776 transfers from private hospitals and health centers to emergency departments, 418 traffic accidents, 389 miscellaneous incidents, 33 fires, and 3,055 health emergencies.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense responded to 2,422 calls, including 1,220 requests for assistance, 227 fire-related calls, 101 traffic accident calls, and 110 calls related to fallen trees, poles, and other objects.
These figures highlight the vital role played by the Ministry of Interior in ensuring the safety and security of the community. The various departments within the Ministry responded to a wide range of incidents, demonstrating their commitment to providing prompt and effective assistance to those in need.
