With Eid Al Adha just two weeks away, banquet restaurants across Bahrain are experiencing a surge in pre-orders for Eid lunch, with some reporting a 100% booking rate.
This reflects the deep-rooted tradition of family gatherings and feasting during this important Islamic holiday. Many restaurants have taken to social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok to announce their Eid menus and prices, with a strong focus on the popular “ghoozi” dish.
This traditional lamb or goat stew, served with rice and roasted chicken, is a staple of Eid celebrations in Bahrain. While families typically prepare their own sacrificial animals for Eid Al Adha, the convenience of ordering a premade ghoozi from a restaurant has become increasingly popular.
Some restaurants offer packages with prices ranging from BD34 to BD125. The high demand for ghoozi reflects the central role of food in Eid celebrations. It provides an opportunity for families and friends to gather, share a delicious meal, and strengthen their bonds during this festive occasion.
