The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) has released its latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for April 2024, revealing a mix of price movements across various goods and services in the country.
In the broader goods and services category, the report highlighted a significant increase in accommodation service prices, which surged by 11%. This is likely driven by the peak tourist season, reflecting the high demand for housing.
Other notable price changes include a 1.5% increase in personal transport equipment, and a 5.3% rise in oil and fat.
Prices for major household appliances and telephone and telefax equipment also decreased by 2.9% and 4.3%, respectively.
