50% capacity boost: King Fahad Causeway unveils streamlined processing, passenger lounges

The King Fahad Causeway Authority has unveiled a transformative upgrade to its processing areas and passenger lounges, setting the stage for a new era of enhanced travel between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
With a dramatic increase in capacity and a commitment to a seamless travel experience, the Causeway is poised to become an even more critical link connecting the two nations.
The phased poject has expanded the processing areas by 50%, boosting traffic flow. This expansion allows up to 2,500 vehicles per hour, up from the previous limit of 1,800.
Additionally, the Authority has introduced passenger lounges for public transportation users, featuring comprehensive departure and arrival halls.
This initiative aims to streamline the travel process and offer a comfortable waiting environment for passengers.
