Pinoy Food Festival kicks off at Gudaibiya Nesto Hypermarket

The 10-day Pinoy Food Festival has commenced at Nesto Hypermarket in Gudaibiya, featuring a variety of food products imported from the Philippines. Philippine Ambassador, Her Excellency Anne Jalando-On Louis, inaugurated the event alongside Nesto Hypermarket officials.
This annual festival is designed to introduce and showcase the diverse range of Philippine products to the local market and beyond.
Additionally, the festival provides an opportunity for Filipinos to celebrate their Independence Day. Nesto Hypermarket, with a significant presence in Bahrain and other Gulf countries, is known for its extensive selection of Philippine products.
At the inaugural ceremony, Nesto Bahrain Managing Director Arshad Hashim, General Manager Mohammad Haneef, Purchasing Head Abdu Chetiankandi, Finance Manager Sojan George, Assistant Purchasing Manager Naufal Kuzhungilpadi, Gudaibiya Branch Manager Shahul, Filipino officials, and representatives from Filipino club were in attendance.
Ambassador Jalando-On Louis praised Nesto for organizing the festival in conjunction with the Philippine Independence Day celebrations.
She highlighted the enthusiasm of Bahrainis and other expatriates for Filipino products and expressed appreciation for the various dishes and delicacies prepared for the event.
The Ambassador encouraged Filipinos in Bahrain to take pride in and promote their native products, emphasizing the availability of these items at Nesto This festival not only brings a taste of the Philippines to Bahrain but also strengthens cultural ties and fosters a sense of community among Filipinos living abroad.
